Next year, I am considering bring my 1980 512 BB to the US from Europe. The car already has a MPH speedometer and US type side turn signals. The car will be 25 years old by the time it arrives. Does anyone know what I will need to do to be allowed to bring it in and get it registered ?

If its 25 years or older, just pay the duty on it. Search the archives, been covered many times before.

This may have changed or I may be wrong, but need to check with Mr Merritt (see archives) at DOT - I seem to remember them capping Boxers specifically where no more could be brought in.
    Good luck!
