What has to be done to bring a Merc S600 Brabus from Russia to Paris ? Pay the Tax , the customs and then what ? Secondly, the owner doesnt have a french residence. Can he still have the ar under his name here ? If its registered under my name , i guess insurance will be very expensive. thanks !
if you register it under your name, don't forget to think about the money laundry regulations in france. that could well be an issue.
In order to register a car in an EU country you must be a resident of that country. Also, if you regster it in your name, your russian friend may not be insured to drive it if he doesn't have a french driving license. Perhaps he has special russian insurance but in the case of an accident I wouldn't want to have to deal with a russian insurance company. Cheers Simon
