Hi Guys, I'm currently an expat overseas looking at buying a 91 model Testarossa.

I will be looking to relocate back home towards end of the year, and as such means I wont have owned the car for a full 12 months.

Since the Testarossa wasnt sold new in Oz (From what I've been told) can I easily bring this car in ?

And if so, what costs would be incurred about from a LHD to RHD conversion ?

Any help would really be much appreciated, this is my first foray into the ferrari stable and I know I really should ammend my log in name.

    Thanks in advance

Why import? If you look around you will find some for sale here, including one in Perth ;)
    Have a look here:

    http://carpoint.ninemsn.com.au/DesktopDefault.aspx?Make=FERRARI&Model=TESTAROSSA&PriceFrom=-1&PriceTo=-1&SearchMethod=quicksearch&TabID=3328&Alias=carpointau

They aren't '91 models but I'm sure you can find one somewhere with some effort :)

and maybe fill in your profile as people are more likely to help if they know a little about you ;)

Massively cost prohibitive to convert L to RHD.

Buy a uk car and do a +15 yr import.

Major uncool, there are enuf in oz to suffice, bringing one in and converting it is not cost effective........

Thangs guys for the feedback, I'll definitely do more research into it.

Im working in the middle east, and I'm finding a few cheap good ones

The particular one I've seen I can get into for around 40 K aussie dollars

So it was a thought that was tempting me.

Thanks for all the feedback, great site.

Not enough. it would cost about $100k to do a "parts correct" job, and it would still be a converted car, worth about $120 if saleable at all.
