    I'm purchasing a drag race car that comes with an open car trailer.
    Anyone have experience importing trailers? Is it the same as vehicles?

    Done it many times. Same thing and very easy. You still have to pay the riv fee and take it to canadian tire for the bogus inspection.

    If you can prove the trailer is 15 yrs old (date on documents, etc) it will be exempt from RIV.
