I know i've seen a thread like this before, but i can't seem to find it. I currently have a 335i coupe and I don't want to use it in a Prince George winter as we get lots of snow and its rwd. So I was wondering what it would cost to import a car from europe which i already own (1997 Fiat Panda).

I am wanting to do this because if i were to buy a car just for the winter it will be a car costing less then $2000, and probably in really poor condition.

    Thanks

You'll have to wait a bit as it has to be over 15 years of age from the production date on the manufacturers door sticker. It will cost you about $2,000 to get the car here from Europe by ro-ro boat.....just a thought.

There's a reason why everybody up there drive Dodge Ram 4X4's - with the obligatory lift kit... ;)

Seriously, I'd go the local $2K beater route. Plenty of small FWD cars around, then throw it away after winter. Way cheaper in the long run than hauling a foreign car from all the way across the globe.
