I transfered a bunch of music from my old Dell to a memory stick and tried to load it into my Mac, and it said I wasn't authorized.

Any ideas how to do this? Its about 800 albums so I don't want to do it one at a time!

    Thanks!!!

I'm authorized - send me the memory stick.

Out of curiosity did you purchase all of these albums through the iTunes store? (It doesn't make sense to me for it to not import non-DRM'd songs)

My guess, for the error, is to sign into the iTunes store on your Macintosh with the same iTunes account you used on the Dell and to "authorize" the Mac. (Store->Authorize Computer)

No. Virtually all of them were from legally purchased CDs loaded one by one into the dell.

In iTunes 9.0 go to Advanced , Turn on Home Sharing. Do this on both computers. At the bottom left corner of the new computer select the option that says something about files not on the computer or something like that from the Drop down box.

I just did this last night on my laptops. I transfered about 250 songs from my old laptop to my new laptop.

Simplest solution, select the songs you imported and drop 'em in the iTunes application (in the list of songs)
