Two recent changes have occurred at Ricambi:

    1. Our SSL has never been interrupted, but a slight change in the way we capture visitor stats (Google Analytics) had broken the little "padlock" in IE which reassures customers that our site is safe. At no time did we ever have unsecured checkout, it's simply that an HTTP (instead of HTTPS) reference was buried in the page. Anyway, the padlock is back and you can confidently and securely check-out through the website.

...and for something really cool, check this out

    2. One of the biggest hassles with Ferrari is that all the old part numbers are constantly being superseded to new numbers whenever there is an engineering revision. Actually, it's a good thing because it demonstrates a commitment to ongoing improvement and a recognition of parts that might need changes throughout (and after!) a model's production run.

Anyway, people usually phone me with their trusty parts book in hand. That's cool... until they provide a part number from 1977 which is no longer active! I have always maintained a master "supersede" list on my local PC, so I could quickly x-ref old numbers to new numbers. But ya know, true to my Marxist roots, I say "POWER TO THE PEOPLE!" (Just kidding, I'm not a Marxist),

So, after many long hours of SQL and data manipulation, I think I am 96.3% finished coding a great solution! Now, if you key an old number into the site, you'll be directed to the new number. There is still a wee bit of cleanup that I'll try to finish today, but with a backlog of weekend orders, I'm not sure I'll get it completed.

Please see the pictures below. I hope this makes your shopping experience at Ricambi America easier and more enjoyable!

Daniel, how are you? How is the baby?

Remember the place that you had your reception during Cavallino? It is closed, Testa's had a big fire. Next year Denny's.

From this day forward, you shall be known as Dan The Man - I have read so many accolades regarding your personable and superior service, I couldn't help but laugh as I thought "How do you improve Ricambi?" - but, you managed to think forwards, backwards, connect the dots and act on the "right thing to do" philosophy for one and all to work smarter, not harder. I can't fathom just how big a monster you've created with these improvements. You're going to go a long way.

I'd like to add to the accolades. Daniel went the extra distance to find replacements for my rock damaged fog lamp cover on my 88 TR, and sent them to me to try out, and return without a stocking fee if it didn't work out. I thought that was pretty cool.
