Green down the back straight would definitely work.

It wasn't just WeatherTech though. The VP Racing series and Michelin Pilot Challenge had a lot of incidents as well. It seems like the majority of incidents end up with "no further action" from race control. Thinking maybe they need to start holding the drivers to higher standards.

31 should have been penalized for pushing the 10 off track at the end. 10 was taking a low percentage pass, but the 31 made it a no percentage pass.

You could have written this exact comment about quite a few different races. Funny how those 2 cars seem to find each other so often.

Neer seen this before! Nice to see the progression in the track. Other than turn 10, not much difference.

Nope, it's pretty much as it was....smoothed out some humps, interesting they talked about the crash at the hump coming out of 7.

I can't remember the dumptruck loads of dirt they moved in to make 10a/b....but it was a LOT....where the tunnel is under the track at 10, that's where the racing surface was...

Interesting that the Cadillac won, it has never been the fastest car. I suppose regularity pays in endurance races.

I was going to say that the area from T5 to T7 sure seemed to have a lot more elevation change than I thought it did today.

the old track was crazy...I remember someone (Brian Redman or someone from that era) talking about the turn in reference marker at the end of the back stretch was aiming at the left bridge support..

btw do you know when the motorcycle chicane went in at T3? doesn't look like it's in that video.

That was a late 2000's addition IIRC...the were actually two...the lower down the hill ones were removed...airborne crashes or something.
