I ran Redline last time. Thinking of going with Liqui Moly 5W40 Leichtlauf High Tech Engine Oil this time.

    Wondering if anyone running it?

I used Liqui Moly on my Scud 2-3 times. It's fine. I actually prefer Liqui Moly.

"If I asked you to name a brand of motor oil, a number of brands might pop into your mind. Castrol, Mobil 1, Valvoline, etc. One thing in common among these brands is the ability to find them anywhere you go. The convenience is undeniable, and because you've used them for years, you have no reason to use anything else.

On the flip side, what if there was something better than those brands that really isn't that much more expensive? A product that gave you just that little extra peace of mind? Sometimes it's worth looking a little harder for a better product. Enter: LIQUI MOLY."

I use Shell 5w-40 as specified in the manual. Never had any issues. I do an oil analysis every oil change and it barely wears any metals at all. At 4-5000 miles the oil is barely worn with a lot of additives left. I believe the key is the to warm up the car properly and drive it regularly.

my indy gave me a big lecture on never to use petrolium based oil buy used ether. he said dont use liqui moly or pennsoil, only use reddline or motul.

he almost didnt want to use the oil i brought. he was trying to sell me his reddline oil.

wont be using him anymore for a oil change, kindda had to argue with the guy to use the oil. then i said well the oem oil is pennzoil, and he said yes its **** horrible engine wont last bla bla. lol

    a bit looney toones!

    I use what manufacturer recommend

It amazes me that people think that the noise of the engine they think differently oils work better, apparently their ears are so good that they think its better for their motor

In other cars ive blown countless diffs, trannys and engines, never oil related regardless of km

Group 2 oil is garbage. Ester based or grop V is top tier or at least group IV

BTW. I used Liqui Moly Top Tech 4100 (gray bottle). That’s a Group IV oil.

My indy put me on Liqui Moly and says he imports it directly from Germany. He does my oil changes. So I'm not sure if there is difference between a U.S formulation and Euro formulation. I just have to assume I got the good stuff :).

I love it, read its capabilities I have rune it since the pandemic. Apparently, designed for Porsche 911 water cooled cooled engines

you might explore the various Motul V/300 oils also. There plenty of talk about oils on our various chat sites

‘it’s time for me to change so I’m studying looking at your tube vids on oil etc there are petroleum engineers all over these sites. Good Luck -P
