I'm the annoying kid that had the black GTI, by the way.

I picked up a 1997 BMW E36 M3. Not the fastest thing in a straight line, but one of the best handling cars of all time. Now I just need to fix a ton of mechanical issues, restore the interior, all of the exterior trim, and put new rubber on it. Aren't project cars fun?

Nice! You've made a good step forward. If it requires constant attention, money and elbow grease, you shouldn't consider it a project car... consider it Ferrari practice. :)

    Congrats!

An e36 BMW M3 is one of my favorite cars of ALL TIME. It is so rewarding to drive...Simply sublime.

Good luck with the project...I am sure you will be rewarded when she is done!

It really is surprising. Perfectly balanced, and the steering feel (even with the school bus sized steering wheel) feels awesome. I can't wait until it's finished mechanically so I can start working on the cosmetics. The interior needs a lot of love.
