Nice pictures! Yeah GTs are incredible. Also I looked I noticed it said you almost bought the Mustang.. so what are you thinking of buying instead?
And how did you get the angle so high on some of them, tripod? I like the 7th picture best

I'll be waiting a longer... and I'm leaning towared a C5 Z06 right now. But, the mustang was great fun :)

never underestimate the power of a ladder ;) a step ladder typical for use when painting, changing a light bulb, or a nicer angle on a car ;)

the tripods are generally only used in low-light conditions ;)

I agree that the GT is an incredible car and I would love to have one, but I wouldn't pay the 150k. IMO not to many cars are worth 150k or more. I think they should have been listed somewhere around 90k-100k.

lol a ladder, that's too obvious

A tripod, now that's something else I need to buy, it is way too hard to keep my hand steady in the dark

Good luck getting the Z06, that would be sweet

oh yeah, can you give me some tips about those action pictures you take? Like do you just sit at a street corner and wait for them to drive by, are you in your car, stuff like that. I think it just feels weird to me and I would feel better about it if I knew that somebody else in Michigan were doing the same thing. :D
You can send me a pm if you want

    hehe.

well, there are the planned action shots; and the spur of the moment action shots...

earlier today, i was expirimenting with a new action shot... but unfortunately, it just wasnt working.. we were going to slow, there wasn't enough room, and well, i'd never done it before... just have an idea on how to do it.

my aciton shots that i've taken are called "panning" shots... where you literally follow the movement of the car in question through the viewfinder... it takes a lot of practice to be able to get pictures that aren't blurry from camera shake.

basically, i switched to shutter priority mode, which automatically determins the aperature (F stop) for the appropriate exposure. the longer you are able to hold the exposure, the better the picture can become... there are cirtain examples of what too much is... the car becomes all distorted.

so basically, the ones with the ford gt panning have the shutter recording in 1/80 of a second, and the lens was at 100 mm (wide open) and the aperature was set somewhere around 10, or 11.

so as you follow the car, the car stays sharp, and in focus... but the background has become streaked... a real nice effect ;)

when doing it in public... my street sightings are generally just that.. i walk up and down main street in some city wating for something interesting to drive by, or seeing something interesting parked on a side street etc.

usually, those only become panning shots if there isn't enough light ;) but yes, i do sometimes go to the 'best' and most opertune sightings location, and wait for something to drive by.

I dont follow people home, or try to post where they might live or anything. I will go up and talk to owners... sometimes they are initially hesitant; but well... my expiriance is that enthusiasts love talking to fellow enthusiasts ;)

i'll show you some more examples if you have an instant messanger

on aim, its the same as my handle here, and on MSN, its my handle @hotmail.com ;)
