    I'm on a project here in Frankfurt for two months and the weekends are pretty boring. I'm wondering if I could get a ride around the 'ring. Obviously I contacted BMW (re: Sabine) but I understand that the waiting list can be a year!

    Surely there are others that give rides?

    That's a big no-no. a) Rental car companies don't allow this b) they have "spies," I read, that report rental cars to their respective companies c) I'd like to be taken around by a professional.

    Take a look at the last Ring thread which was probably only last month

    There are companies that rent cars at the Ring just for the Ring eg www.rent-racecar.de
