I'm going to be in town thru the weekend getting some work done tomorrow but am meeting friends in town for my Bachelor Party weekend. We are staying in a condo on 6th St. and checking out Chris Cornell at the Paramount tomorrow night. We might have one extra ticket, but can't confirm it just yet if anyone wants to join. Suggestions for the weekend festivities?

Thursday night!!!!, get your azz to the Broken Spoke on South Lamar for some Jesse Dayton!!!! Show starts at 9PM (bar time...LOL!) The band will loiter out back until then......Jesse is an old Beaumont boy, so almost a Cajun!! The UT coeds will PACK the place looking for a two steppin' dance partner. When they close at midnight, follow 'what Jesse says'! His drummer Eric Tucker is an old friend of mine ( and a cigar smoker too) say "Hello" to him. After party is sometimes at Tropy's club (back on South Congress) or maybe at the Continental Club, depending on who is playing where. Pick up the Austin Press or what ever it is, check places like the Saxon Pub, Broken Spoke, and others....6th street is "good" but the One Eyed Cat down on 1st street is legendary. Maybe it's Mean Eyed Cat....whatever. Dale Watson is a local country legend, should have broken out but 'never did".. Check Antone's for some blues,.......
