That guy really is a very lucky guy. I am guessing he went over the concrete barrier on the other side of that culvert. I can't even figure how he got spun around and came to rest there. Again very lucky.

    IMO. looks "chopped" to me.

1st pic show the "fenced in area" at a prety acute angle to the truck...last pic show the fence much farther away and not at such an acute angle...just my opinion

The canyon doesn't seem to "curve" as much in the last pic as in the first

Look at the rail as it pertains to the white truck next to it, it looks good to me, as far as the 'curve', that happens when you go 'wide angle'.

    Doesn't look p-shopped to me.

The first pic seems like it was taken at a shallower angle (30 degrees?) to the guard rail and the photographer was apparently on or close to the ledge on which the small fenced area sits.

The second and third pic looks like they were taken at a 60-75 degree angle to the guard rail (so the photographer walked back around the curve), but with more of a telephoto setting on #2 and wide angle on #3. Note that the white truck shows up and parks near the guard rail break as the photographer walked around. In #3 you can now see both the white truck and the open ledge near the fenced area where photo #1 was probably taken. The fenced area has a different alignment with the accident truck and the curvature changes due to the change of position and perspective.

Truck driver was dreaming he was driving a Ferrari around that curve.

What gets me, is the firemen/paramedics working on the passenger side. A ton or so of truck that could destabilize the edge or slip off, yet they do their jobs. Definitely heroic.

To me the "shadow" of the 3rd pic doesn't jive with the persective of the 1st pic.

Shadow across the rock face in pic #3 is much more gradual than the 1st pic indicates.

1st pic indicates an almost 90 deg turn to the canyon 30-40 feet back from the truck. 3rd pic seems to show gradual curve starting at least 40-50 feet from behind the truck.

Plus the bottom half of the 3rd pic doesn't seem real... DOT would have come up with a better water drainage solution than an abrupt 100' drop to the bottom of some rock formation.

    Personally, I don't care...just doesn't seem right/fit my eye.

    Okay, wife's asleep...I'm drinkn wisky...this is interesting. =)

Look at the "crooked" guardrail post in pic #1 & the discolored earth on the other side of the highway.

In pic #2 if I'm moving "around" the canyon to a less acute angle, both the discolored earth and the crooked post should move to the rear of the vehicle...discolored earth does, but post does not...in fact the post is further away in (in front of truck) in #2 than it is in #1.

#3 doesn't seem rea; at all

    Love the wisky! =)
