    Hey guys,

I have a set of Fabspeed 360 Sport headers that have just come back from ceramic coating for inventory. These headers came out phenomenal and look even better in person (or better yet, on a car :) )

These headers are an excellent addition to the already great 360 and they will improve both performance and sound. For those in the US, while a CEL is not always illuminated, it can come on depending on a wide array of factors. An easy way for you to eliminate that CEL is by moving the Post cat O2 Sensor bung to a location after the CAT and just before the muffler(Just like the Euro cars). For those with a European 360, these headers will be an excellent bolt on upgrade with no worry of a CEL!

The headers include new gaskets/hardware and also the heat shield brackets for the AC compressor/Alternator.

Please PM me for pricing :)

What kind of coating is it? My headers from you guys (coated elsewhere) are working out great so far.

The ceramic coating is from a local company here outside of Ft.Washington. The coating is good for a sustained temp of between 1,500 and 1,600 Degrees Fahrenheit and it looks PHENOMENAL in person.

yeah looks great. just was curious about the heat reduction compared to white lightning which is what i put around mine...

mine were installed in front of factory cats and an aftermarket muffler moving the o2 sensors as you describe. Put a good number of miles on the car with no CEL (I'll report back if it ever pops on). Just another data point.

Ok, so what is the difference between these and the other ones? Would you still need heat blankets with these or not? How do the heat shields for alternator and A/C compressor hold up and what is the temperature change vs stock?

cm2 - I actually read that a couple days ago. So do you have the blankets installed as well? I am in the process of ordering from Fabspeed (good customer service) but need to know if the ceramic coating eliminates the need for the (pricey) heat blankets.

I guess the best combo would be ceramic + heat blankets.. ? Evan?

That is without heat blankets. I don't have them. I doubt anyone will tell you there is a definitive need for them, but lower engine bay temps are a good thing. I decided that I would prefer airflow around the tubular headers, instead of installing the blankets.

I vote for Jet Hot ceramic coating. I had my SuperSprint headers on my BMW M5 Jet Hot coated and I was impressed with the quality and the reduction of heat in the engine bay.

Jet Hot is a very good company with proven results! I have done many sets of headers with Jet Hot for customers. Any heat protection in my eyes is a step in the right direction (like preventative maintenance) but not a set in stone MUST HAVE item. I think it is a great idea and overtime will prove useful, but I have not heard of a single case of exposed headers (as long as the heat shield for the A/C and Alternator are in place) causing any issues due to excessive heat.

When stopped you can expect the engine bay temps to rise to about 15-20 degrees Celsius above ambient in a fairly short time frame (30 Seconds or so ) It takes about 15-20 seconds after pulling away from a stop for the natural airflow in the engine bay to bring down the temp to within 5-6 Degrees Celsius of ambient. Keep in mind that this data was gathered on the road and is also general engine bay air temp and not the specific temperature of a specific area.

On the track, the close proximity of components that are close to the headers themselves (A/C, Alternator) can see higher temps than OEM and the header blankets would be the way to go to protect those components (as opposed to cooling engine bay air temps ).

My exhaust set up, Agency Power headers with JetHot coating, Kinetix high flow CATS and FabSpeed muffler threw CEL. I had Mase Engineering (Jacksonville, FL) dyno and modify the ECU's to take out the O2 sensor CEL, tweak the throttle response, and add 17 rwhp. Car runs great!!!!

Clear it and see if it comes back. Sometimes after 1 or 2 resets, it wont return.

Just clear with a obd? I was curious if a power down reset of the ecu would widen the acceptable operating parameters as well...?

The power down reset could work as well. Either way, just a OBD scanner should do it as well.
