Hi all, After looking a lot at many F430s I came to the conclusion that my first Ferrari will be a 599. You can't beat that V12 under the hood and the look of the car is awesome and 599s are much less common. And if I am not mistaken, 2008 cars are now close to being half MSRP which is not at all the same for F430s. My question is : are the 1st year car (2007) ok or is there something about them I have to check carefully ? I'm searching for a 2008 GTB Rosso Corsa or G. Titanio with F1 transmission under 10000 miles located in Canada (or USA). If you know about a good one, let me know Thanks ! Alex
I believe the msrp jumped $30k+ in 2008 and included CCB and a few other options. When I was in the market for my 599 I determined that the 2008 looked to be the best value.
Are you located in Canada? Can you buy and register US cars there easily? Have you considered an HGTE? What other options are must haves? Daytona seats, challenge rims, etc? Would you consider another shade of red (scuderia, mugello, etc)or silver? What interior color do you prefer? Sorry to barrage you with questions just trying to figure out what you want exactly and it helps you figure it out exactly in case you haven't done so already. I did a quick search on autotrader and came back with 41 results. Not all those are RC or Grigio T but they are all red, silver, or grey. Good luck on your search.
Alex, if you are in Canada, I saw a g.titanio on red interior at foQ , it was a spectacular car in condition.
Most 2007s were with CCBs,only a small batch of early cars delivered in 2006 did not have them. They were "optional" but came anyway, became a mandatory option.....
I have both the F430 and 599, they are different animals and BOTH a blast to drive! I drive hard and haven't had any issues with either so I think you'll be good with a PPI and long smiles
yes in Canada but i will buy from The US if required. A little bit more complicated but not that much. HGTE yes if price is right but not a necessity Daytona seats and challenge rims : yes but not required I prefer Rosso Corsa, g titanio, silver, black in order I prefer either black or red (with black exterior) or one of the beige but not cream (in order) And f1, no manual for me and yes i want ccb so it will be 2008, sweet spot for price i think also thanks !
Alex here is a 2007 599 in red combined with the black exterior as requested. Low mileage listed and on eBay number> 261047777437. Rare color combination I don't recall seeing very often either. Much more choice in the USA market for 599 models. CH Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I recently (two weeks ago) fulfilled a dream and purchased a 2007 599 GTB. It had 8.6 k miles and came with the usual options - CC brakes, carbon fiber interior trim, power daytona seats, monolith wheels, etc. - and is rossa corsa / tan. I've put 500 miles on it already. It's everything I hoped for. If you can afford it, do it!
Its an 07 but has CCB's, 4k miles, F1 and it is pretty gorgeous. http://www.exoticmotorsmidwest.com/2007-ferrari-599-gtb-rosso-corsa-on-beige-em-156420-2/
The black on red 599 has been relisted again on eBay> 261065270121 Is the 599 market that soft in California these days??? CH Image Unavailable, Please Login
I also went with a 599 as my first fcar and was considering buying this one. Great guys and a great car. I was able to find one in a different rosso with the same options for much cheaper through a private seller. Best of luck.
I'm in the market for a 07-08 599 GTB in black or red. Do you still have this car for sale? Any interest on taking an 08 Superleggera with 4500 miles in on trade?
Hi there, no personal interest in the 599 myself. It is a rare color combination being black on red and those colors together were one example that the other person was looking for. I just mentioned it was back on the market with a new eBay listing number as the California market seems soft for 2007 599 models. Looks like a cash sale sort of deal. The new price is very good if the 599 passes a PPI successfully. Good Luck there! CH
