Might be in the market for a TR.. I really like the 92+ 512 cars... But I would look into the earlier ones if they are better cars for the dollar..

What would you consider a "good buy" on a 92-93 TR??? How much more should I expect to pay for a 512, that say an late 80's-91 TR??

Very new to the market, still learning about the cars... Thank you..

Looking for, the car that will hold its value best, with the least intensive service schedule.

Seems your in the market for a Testarossa? The Testarossa is a bargain in todays exotic car market. The fair market value for a testarossa is about low 55-high 80. range. For a low miles car with proper documentaion.

The 512tr is ranging from 1992-96,000-1993-100,000 and 1994 512tr above 100,000 plus. when new price was 195,000 plus tax ...

The difference is the 512TR is better Performer. Lighter car , more power, new interior, larger rims, more refined, car overall . Note the 1994 512tr has ABS Braking system. which is a huge plus in the wet.. It really helps.
    I had a 1990 and a 1992 so I know from experience...

Routine Service is the same for the Testarossa and 512TR. Both cars depending on service will set you back, few thousands . I recently did my service on my F512m set me back 3500.. next I will need the belt service, hoses and all fluids will set me back , 7,000 or more....
    hope this helps you.

I saw a decent 512tr (92) for sale this past winter in New Jersey for $76k. Needed service, but I would have bought it if I were in the market. Patience and the ability to buy quickly will give you the best car for the money.

I don' think those numbers are accurate depending on the mileage on the cars. The average price is about $5-10,000 more if low mileage and service is up to date. If you look at recent ads the asking price ranges from $99,000 to $115,000 for a 92 512 Tr. The 512 Tr is a much better car with interior and exterior styling and mechanical updates which puts it way above a regular TR, however, it costs a fair bit more initially. 93 and 94 512 Tr are harder to find as they didn't make as many as in 92, so if you find a good 92, in the right color combo and mileage, I would take it, IMHO ABS on a 94 is not a big deal in terms of driving or resale value.
