    Wow, didn't see that. Cool.

I'm still stunned about the near miss desaster in Chicago with the Thunderbirds. Rammstein knocking at the door. I hope these guys will practice A LOT before next year's air show in Muskegon or I'll have to bring my Nomex suit.

heh yeah. The keine lust music video is very good. I've known people that have learned quite a bit of german just by listening to them.

I go between rammstein sites and Fchat throughout the day or whenever I'm on the computer.

I think a dream situation for me would be driving a ferrari while blasting rammstein.

I'm sure Andreas was referring to what happened at Rammstein Air Base.

It wasn't funny, and isn't anything to joke about.

Yeah, I like the 'group' too.

I think the lyrics (assuming you're referring to) are more like:

Du hasst mich, Du hasst mich, Du hast mich gefragt. Und ich hab nichts gesagt.

It is a German pun for "You hate me, you hate me", but then by dropping one "s" it changes into "you have asked me. And I have not said anything".

    Very clever pun.

Anyway, yes I was referring to the most horrific day at the air base when the Italian aero squadron "Frecci Tricolore" (sp?), the equivalent of our Thunderbirds had two planes hit each other sending both of them out of control into the spectators while fully fueled. It was like a Napalm attack in Vietnam and dozens of people died or were severly injured.

The band Rammstein (named after the desaster) has actually a song in which they describe the horror: "Rammstein, ein Mensch rennt, ein Mensch brennt." (A person runs, a person is on fire). No fun at all. And that's why I was always perplexed to see what's going on at the Air & Water show. It can happen and it would be catastrophic. Actually a friend of mine who lives in Naperville refuses to attend the show out of fear for another Rammstein.

PS: Yes, I totally dig the band as well.

Wow! I didn't know that! Yes,just a few weeks ago, there was a guy flying a Bi-Plane that Crashed right into the ground,in front of spectators at an Air Show. How horrific is that! Then,I saw some sort of Jet-an F-15 or something-crashed into Flames at another Air Show. But the Pilot was able to Eject, and point the Plane so that it did not hit any Spectators when it Crashed. I mean,I think that there's practically one like that per year,Somewhere in the world. Scary!

I bet a lot of people who attend these shows don't know that. Otherwise there would be some public outrage and these events would be cancelled or done differently.

click on "Katastrophe", horrible pictures and these have been sanitized, I have seen worse back then

I mean a country in which you can sue anybody over nothing (like a cup of hot coffee) and bicyclers wear helmets and people want sideways air bags and warning labels on everything, they are willing to take a chance on being burned to death by a flash of Napalm?

Don't get me wrong, I love air shows. I'm just puzzled people are so carefree about them in the US. BTW: Some people do see the risks, some Aldermen have tried to stop them or have them without the risky close formation flying.

Oh yeah. As professional as theThunderbirds and Blue Angels are. Have you ever seen them cruising through-in between-the High Rises in the Loop during the Air Show. It is a buzz, for sure. But,potentially Dangerous,no doubt.
