IN today's world of Athletes, Shaq stands out

Awesome. His heart is definitely in proportion to the rest of him...

 

It’s reassuring to see some people can be generous without benefiting any vested interests.

Especially from a pro basketball player.

 

I'm with ya, there, Art. Shaq is the go-to guy. Hell, he doesn't even have to be approached. He simply looks after the best interests of his colleagues, young and old... and now, deceased.

 

Wow. The more I know about him, the more I like him. I have a general disregard for NBA players...but that's awesome. More power to him, and may the generousity he has displayed be returned to him 100 times over.

 

As my knowledge of the man grows, so does my respect for him.

 

Unfortunatley, he just lost.... oh well, SA/Detriot will be a goos series

 

Shaq's a great guy, I've read multiple accts of him being warm hearted. Buying toys and all types of stuff for kids in inner city L.A. during Christmas, and I remember one when he was still in L.A. one of the matinenance guys at Staples center had a beat up old truck that kept breaking down. Shaq noticed this and bought him a brand new F-150. The guys plate now says thxshaq, or something along that line. Another one was when the Lakers won their first Championship with Kobe and Shaq back in 2000 when the slight rioting went on and ppl flipped over a few cop cars, Shaq bought the P.D. new squad cars to make up for it.

 

Amazinig to hear of such a great man with such a big heart! I hope I can one day be as generous as him.
