to defend my right to drive (allegedly) 50 in a 35 in a 1973 GT4 w/o license plates -- had 'em but not on the vehicle. It was worth it for the sound alone.

    Interesting coincidence,
I was in jury duty today at the Tarrant Count Justice Center. I was watching F Chat on my Iphone ( now worth the $600) and considered posting a thread titled " Bored to tears on jury duty" to see if anyone sympathized with me. The worse part of it all was, that when I was finally released around 3:30, I had a parking ticket ( my last quarter expired at 3:19) and I was parked 2 blocks away on Weatherford. No exaggeration, there were 3 homeless people within 15 feet from my car drinking a beverage from a brown paper bag ( probably not Gatorade) that I am sure were present 11 minutes earlier when I was issued my citation . I guess public intoxication and drinking in public are not as serious a crime as being late to move my Mercedes ( maybe that was the problem) while serving my public duty.
Sorry, I needed to vent. Chances are the officer will not show up tomorrow. He will most likely be ticketing MBs while visiting with the local street corner connoisseurs of Mad Dog.
Let us know how it goes.

There's no profit in arresting thieves and drunks. Cops write tickets because that brings in the money. Get robbed or assaulted and they could care less. No profit in stopping real crimes.

I have not seen that in years, thanks for posting it. Brings back great memories seeing Sammy, both solo and with Van Halen. Went to Cabo Wabo this summer hoping to have a tequila shot with him, but he was in the states.
