this is a stupid question but, my uncle just bought a 2005 360 challenge stradle (leftover) he didnt give me the details of the cost but i know he makes about two-and-a-quarter a year. My question is what kind of income do you guys think you need to afford a 200g car? because i think my expectations are higher then expected, but myabe not.---p.s. I'll have pics up very soon of the car.

He must have a really long term loan, I make more than $2.25 a year and can barely afford Top Ramen!

I don't like to call any question stupid, but...

It depends on your real estate situation, how you're set for retirment savings, how much debt you can take on, how much you have sitting in the bank, leasing or buying the car, etc.

Remember that an '05 Ferrari has just started its depreciation ride, and you will be "spending" $20K+ per year for a couple of years on that.

There are no stupid questions. Stupid answers on the other hand.....

Unfortunately, I don't believe there is any clear concise way to answer your question. Every circumstance is different. The financial situation of someone who has made "two and a quarter" for the last 15 years and invested wisely will be entirely different than someone who is suddenly making that kind of money for the first time. You'll know when you are in the position to make such a purchase when you get there. Plan long term.

What's more played out than the ol' "How Do I Afford A Ferrari?" thread that appears at least once a month?

The payments would be around $3000 per month. About 1/2 of that is interest, and half toward "principal".

Off-topic, but... My next door neighbor is a stripper, and she bought her 2000sq ft house new 5 years ago, when she was 18, no help from mommy and daddy either. We have the exact same house, so I can tell you they cost 140k new, and are now worth over 500k, so yes, strippers do make good money....

Hey, "Perfusion" as you can see I have just joined this site so obviousley I didn't know this question was asked alot, and if it annoys you, you dont have to be part of the thread so do yourself a favor and keep your mouth shut.---P.S. I love it how people will use the computer to say things to a person they would never say to their face.

It was a really great idea to use your 6th post to tell someone to "keep [their] mouth shut."

As you pointed out, people can write anything and take any tone they want on an internet board; just as Perfusion did and just as you're doing now. But if YOU want answers to YOUR questions, then you're going to need a different attitude to get them here.

    Don't listen to these guys.

You don't need more than a couple good years making $35,000 - $40,000 a year to afford a Stradale.
