    Question for the forum.
I have a Ferrari 360 that has inconsistent delivery of power in 1st gear, meaning I step on the throttle and it goes strong for a few seconds, then it seems to lose power and then it seems to get stronger again or "catch" it again, is the feeling I am getting.
This only happens to me in 1st gear. All of the other gears do not exhibit this problem and have consistent power delivery at all times throughout the other gears.
Is it a slipping clutch issue? Or something else in your experience based on what I have explained.
    Thanks!

Given the age of these cars, I'd think it might be a mixture or clutch wear issue. Check for vacuum leaks and visually check the clutch thickness (raise car, take the undertray off and then the clutch inspection plate). Measure the thickness. Not sure it would be a MAF issue... might expect a code from it. Keep the car stock. Mixing components makes diagnosis a challenge.

Start out in 2nd gear, unless you really mean to start out in 1st gear. And then step into the gas like you meant it.

Watch the tach, if the clutch is slipping the engine rpm will go up while it’s slipping. I suspect its not the clutch.

I don’t believe the RPMs are jumping up while it’s doing this “lack of power” thing only in 1st gear. So maybe it’s not the clutch?

Check fuel pressure - maybe you are go into higher RPms in first then the other gears

Could be a cam variator issue.

Does it behave the same if you turn off all traction and stability systems?
