1961 Lotus 18/21 165K for a real Lotus F1 car, driven by Stirling Moss and Graham Hill among others, race winning-and from a period when they were practically built it in a garage, so you can probably fix and run it yourself. I thought they mismarked the price, but I guess not-and after 1 day it's 'sale pending'.
Stunning in fact. I assume it cannot be driven on the street? This is why a bought an Ariel atom. It is as close as I could get and still enjoy it on the street. Lee
Wonderful car indeed, but I'm guessing the comparatively low price is because it is a case of "grandpa's axe" -- having been crashed twice, the engine replaced twice, and obviously all the service items . . . . what's actually left of the original car?
Still, a car (at least some part of one ;-) with terrific provenance, and hard to believe it will ever be worth LESS than this.....I would be happy to gaze on this in my car & boat barn!
Not the prittiest Lotus built and with a CC engine mait will be heavy if you run it. I would go for a Lotus 23 over that car for that money.
