I am a new owner of a Maranello in Devon, PA. Can anyone recommend a good independent Ferrari mechanic in the area?

Also, are there any local Ferrari events coming up?

    Thanks!

    Couple of things.

Unless you don't like dealer service, Algar in Rosemont is top notch service. they have one (might be two) of only 20 Ferrari master mechanics in the country. It is a first rate service department.

Service is run by Marc 610-527-1100.

If you have an aversion to dealer service, and the testimony of many of the folks here about Algar's service department can't change your mind, then Don Galbraith in Devon is a pretty good spot to try. I think he still has a Ferrari mechanic in house. Don't know his number, he's off Lancaster Avenue behind the Devon Post Office.

There are a couple more in the area.

    Events?

Not exactly an event, but we get together every Saturda at 8:00 AM at the starbucks at 202 and Dilworthtown Road in West Chester, maybe 15-20 minutes from the Devon Horse Show grounds.

I did buy the 550 from Naples Motorsports. A couple issues turned up after I received the car which the PPI didn't address. So far, Naples has been great to work with and is standing behind their commitments.

I have heard good things about Algar and they are doing the work right now, but it is somertimes nice to have a second option. Don Galbraith has been doing the service on my 911, didn't know he did Ferrari work also. That could be a nice resource, he does good work.

I will try to turn up at the Starbucks in the next couple weeks.

    Thanks for the input!

I'm the manager at Galbraith's. My lead mechanic is a former Algar mechanic. He has been in the business for over 30 years. Back in the '70s he was the east coast warranty engine rebuilder (he can tell you everything about engines). We're currently working on a '92 Diablo. Our focus is Porsches and Audis, but my boss Don likes to work on the exotic and the unique cars as well. I personnally bring a Lotus background. Feel free to give us a call and I'll see what we can do for you.
