Do you know any PPI in Alabama? I need someone to check on 550. Thanks so much in advance.

If you're referring to the silver/black, 30k mile 550, post-divorce sale car, there is a story on it that could preclude the PPI. PM me if it is. Otherwise, Atlanta (2.5hrs) is the nearest dealer. There is reportedly an independent in Huntsville, but I believe him to be the servicer for this same car, thus 'potential' for bias. Your call on that of course.

In Birmingham (1 hour south of Huntsville) there are quite a few exceptional independents to choose from. I'd start with F-1 SportsCar Center and get his recommendation. They've sold many, many Ferraris, and the guy there named "TK" is well versed in Birmingham expertise. I'd call or email for their rec.

Let me know if I can help.

Yes, it is the one. I spoke to Charlie at the dealership who told me the car is on consignment, owned by an attorney. The car was recently service at 30K, including timing belt changed. I checked via autocheck and learned that here were 5 owners (that's ok), but it has no record since dec 2005 at 19K. Should I proceed for PPI?

Sorry, didn't realize until after my initial response in THIS thread that there was a second thread about the car. Answer here:

High dollar attorney splitting from equally higher dollar physician, perhaps more correctly being "surgically removed from each other pending litigation". Not to be personal, but not all is well I'm told. Doesn't affect the car of course, only willingness to provide first-hand info to inquiring prospects since car is in hands of 'secondary' owner.

Paintwork, sketchy info and service issues were enough to preclude my need for PPI.

Oddly, I'd offered the current asking price in July; now many dead-end prospective purchasers later, a fading expectation at best.
