We have the authorized Ferrari of Atlanta which is an excellent albeit pricey service shop.

We have ***************** which is also an excellent service shop however their pricing is almost on par with Ferrari Atlanta which begs the question why not just service at an authorized dealer?

Solo Motorsports has multiple locations and claim to work on Ferraris but none of their techs have formal training and their pricing is roughly half of the aforementioned shops.

    Any others?

My opinion is that an independent service shop should offer comparable work but at a discount to an authorized dealer because of the minimized overhead. Parts mark-ups should be less. Labor costs should be less. Especially for routine maintenance of out of warranty cars such as fluid and filter changes. Opinions?

You’re right. I use both, if the Indy you’re referring to begins with M. If so…they are comparable in costs, and very “boastful/confident” about their service. I haven’t researched any others in the area, but I’d love to know of any competent competitors.

Ron Reineke has been my service guy for years but he is planning to retire within a year. Also, the city of Tucker has enacted a goofy law that says he can only have two cars (that he doesn't own) on his premises at any one time! This affects all independent repair shops in the city; I have no idea about dealers, but I don't know if there are any of those in Tucker. Even without that, Ron has always been very busy because of his reputation, so you can't be in a big hurry.

I understand that Jim Weed, who had had a shop in the past, has opened a new location in the Buford/Sugar Hill area, but I don't know its status.

I visited Enzo's Automotive Service, which had originally been a Jaguar and Land Rover shop, but they claim to be servicing Ferraris now. I have no idea of their level of expertise, though.

My car is at Ferrari of Atlanta right now and Jim Weed who owns the Ferrari Market Letter is working on my 85 Maserati Quattroporte. Jim is very talented and knows the 70s-80s Ferraris and Maseratis VERY well. He has a very nice shop at his house in Suwanee.

That's right it's in Suwanee and not Buford. Why do these guys always have to be so far from Marietta?o_O

My Lusso is going to “M” in the next week or so. They’re picking it up (they have their own transporter - very reasonable $).
I don’t mind paying $$$ for skilled labor if they’re actually efficient and working on the car. The dealer soured me a little when they charged 3hrs of labor for a battery change… “book time”.

Book time is standard practice at any dealer.

I’ve not had a good experience with Merlin. They’ve had my Mondial QV for over 7 months and after over $12k in repair bills they have been unable to fix a rich running condition. I’m currently searching for an alternative shop.

Would you happen to have his contact information? I tried Googling it but nothing comes up. I am looking for a shop in the Atlanta era.
