Hey everyone. So here's the deal, I've raced a Chicago Indoor Karting once in my life (fyi for anyone who doesn't know, the team endurance race is not a great one to start with). I've wanted to get back ever since I did that last November but you need at least 8 people for a private outing, I can only get together 3-4 people at most. I was wondering if anyone from this site would be interested in racing there?

Like I said, I've driven there once so I won't be setting the world on fire with my lap times but I really want to go down there and have a great time. If anyone's interested, let's plan something!

What date? I might be interested. I may be able to get a couple others.

It's in the preliminary planning stages so no date has been set yet. I'm thinking mid-late August. Preferably on a weekend.

I was thinking of heading out there sometime. I haven't been to that location before but I was checking out their site after seeing a few threads on it here.

I went a few weeks ago with 10 guys, and we had a blast.
We are all trying to pick a date within the next 2 monthsto rent the entire place (they will connect both tracks), can take up to 16 people.
I'll post when we nail it down.
Otherwise, I'm always interested in going!

Keep us posted please. I'm very interested in that. Connecting both tracks sounds like a blast.

Have you spoken with them regarding this? I inquired about it and they essentially turned me down. They will want to capture the lost revenue from renting out the other track.

I tried to get them to give me a price but they wouldn't. I'm guessing it'll be in the $4-5k range.

If that happens, let me know, I'd love that. Otherwise, let's get some consensus on other dates for a normal rental. I'm free every weekend so you guys post what works for you and I'll fill in.

BTW, how experienced are you guys? I've got a bad feeling I'm going to be the Sato of the bunch (without taking anyone out though, maybe more of a Montagny).

I'm free most weekends, except the end of this month. I've gone to bondurant and did several days there but I was a bit of a backmarker in the class and need more practice.

Actually, the event coordinator - dude was the one who suggested it.
We started @ 1pm on a saturday, which is 2 hours before they open to the general public. He said we would have to book probably a month in advance.
The guys I'd be doing this with are still hemming and hawing about a date.
    I'll keep you posted.
Glad to here we could pick up a few strays if we need to !!!
I think the price was under 3K, as we roughly figured it would be under $150/person, with 16 people.

$150/person is totally worth it for both tracks. I went yesterday on a single track and it's a ton of fun! I'm interested and could probably get a couple more peeps if you needed some scabs. :)

That's a great price. I'd definitely be in, depending on the date of course.

Otherwise for a general rental it'd be $80/person for 3 races. How does August 26th or 27th work for people (if the other rental doesn't happen)?

Anyone still think this is a good idea or made any progress?

I still think it's a good idea. Due to my getting a new (well, to me anyway) car, I'm probably out, unfortunately.
