    I have a buddy in Indy who I stay in contact with weekly. he was an Indy car owner in the 80's and entered the 500 with drivers such as Spike Gelhause and Steve Chassey. He has always wanted to get back to Indy but after the 1996 split he decided to go Nascar racing and did that for a while.

    Now, he just decided to buy 2 ex Panther Racing 2005 Dallara Indy cars . He has a potential sponsor with Brute Vitale and the City of El Paso. He bought several Toyota IRL motors over the winter and is putting them together to make an attempt at this years 500. He is a low budget team, but may put the deals together to get enough money to take the cars to the speedway and try to bump their way into the race with a bonzai run. He has a short list of potential drivers. If he gets up there and gets in it will be soo cool. he did it in 88 with a 1987 March C and bumped their way in on bubble day with 5 minutes to go, Steve Chassey trimmed the car out and they bumped their way in with under a minute to go.

    I LOVE THE MONTH OF MAY and the excitement of Indy.
