Finally found the Indy Car live streaming site to be operating during practice and qualifying sessions at Milwaukee yesterday. So, finally there is an online live presence thats the good news since most of the time the site is down or there is a trailer where the picture should be stating that the event is in a rain delay and will return. The other news that is not so good is that the commentary is anchored by none other than the bumbling Paul Page. Page still can't distinguish one driver from another (even when they're out running in single car qualifying sessions) and yesterday comically couldn't tell one turn from another ("Coming out of Turn Four, oh make that Turn Two") almost as if he's sleepwalking through the broadcast. So, in this regard it is status quo in the announce booth going back to the 80's and 90's. From the parts I saw, Page wasn't intentionally mispronouncing (Amercanizing) foreign driver's names as he's been prone to do in the past, but he's got plenty of opportunities to do it today during the race. This cringeworthy attempt at being folksy or cute doesn't really go down too well with drivers, sponsors and teams. High marks have to be given however to the color commentator Pippa Mann. She would literally laugh out loud when Page would bumble over his commentary providing some very interesting insights and correcting Page and the pit lane reporters over certain aspects in a very matter of fact manner. If only someone would invent a "Madden" button to block out Paul Page, the Indy Car live streaming would be tolerable. INDYCAR Race Control - Live Timing & Scoring BHW
