I just bought my last minute tickets, and I am going to Indy! This will be my first F1 race in person! I have not missed a race on TV in over 2 years. I am a huge Ferrari fan, and I'm very excited about it!

I'll be driving in, hopefully arriving around 11 AM Saturday, just in time for qualifying. I have a few questions, and I'm hoping someone with experience can help me:

    1) My tickets are for the Corner 10 terrace: http://www.indianaracing.net/147/sid_7/corner-10-terrace.htm . Does anyone have any experience with these seats?

    2) Am I allowed to bring in my big camera (has a huge lens)? Is this recommended? What else can I bring in with me? (coolers, food, etc.)

    3) IMPORTANT - Can I walk around on Sunday, race day? I absolutely MUST see the start of the race and turn 1! But my seats aren't in view of that. Will I be able to walk around and find a standing place for the race start?

    4) Can I buy the $20 qualifying tickets at the gate, or should I buy them ahead of time online? Will scalpers be selling them for < $20 at the gate?

    5) I will be staying in the Westin on Saturday night, just with the hopes of seeing Michael. Any tips on how / when / where to see Team Ferrari? I would love to see them, even if only in passing.

    6) Any other tips?

Any answers are greatly appreciated! Thanks, and hope to see all of the tifosi there!

Also, if my tickets don't come through at the last minute (due to ebay), what should I do? Will scalped tickets be plentiful, and will they be above / below face value?

If my tickets don't come through, I will need 3 race tickets.

Yes--it's a relatively new stand and a great view.

You can bring just about anything you can carry! Keep in mind that space in the stands may be a little tight, so check it out on Saturday and adjust on Sunday:)

Not really. Friday and Saturday, all seats are general admission. But Sunday you will need a ticket for any other stands, and there really aren't any good GA spots for viewing the start.

Just buy it when you get there. There will be plenty available.

Don't waste a lot of your time trying to hunt for these guys. They've made it an art to not get caught out in the public realm.

Definitely take advantage of the general admission policy on Saturday. Walk around the track, and check out the the grassy mounds near Turn 11. Enjoy yourself, bring sunscreen and take lots of great pictures. Have fun!
