I'm driving in my 360 to the Indy500. It will be my first time at the event (and the speedway) and I'm looking for parking suggestions. I've managed to get an inside spot on Sunday, but the rest of the weekend seems a bit haphazard.

Any tips from people who have had some experience with this would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Mark

For years I had a phone number of a wonderful lady on IIRC 27th St.

I have to find my ROLODEX to even look for it!

But seriously, if you can find a spot like that you are 1/2 block walking to the Track and they will WATCH your car carefully.

I camped in her backyard in my rental car!
    Beverly...a sweet lady.
Left my camping gear tucked in her garage..........probably still there!

Thank you, sir. Parking is about the only thing I'm stressing about for this trip.

park at the airport and take the shuttle over. $30 or so IIRC. very convenient (priority access lanes in traffic, no clutch or overheating worries) and the airport is relatively secure-more so than some dude's lawn.

every time I've done that, I've seen a few exotics at the airport...Ferraris, Lambos, etc.

My past secretary lives walking distance to the track and does driveway and yard parking for the races. It used to be a huge business for area residents, but anymore she just does some family and friends parking. PM if you're interested in that and I'll hook you two up. This early she probably has space.

Google map for the street nearest your seats. You will find that 99% of the people are great about watching your car for you. I've driven my 360 every year and Never had an issue. Most of the race fans love taking pictures of your car. Enjoy the race and let the race fans enjoy your car....

Be also aware that the Speedway Nasties are restricting parking on the streets, residents will be required to have a parking permit. Just another way to gather revenue..........

That area is just around Main St and downtown Speedway. No other areas are impacted...YET!
