Grosjean confirmed not returning to Andretti next year
I've always said that they should bypass the chicane on the first lap and only start using it on the second, which would require the use of some kind of movable barriers.
I used to support him always hoping he would engage his mind but no, the Toronto and Detroit screw ups were two stupid mistakes too many.... Back to Coyne maybe... If he does not find an Indycar ride the highlife in Miami might have to be given up for a return to Switzerland....
Think the cast was set when Grosjean signed with Lamborghini to drive the SC63 next year. Even if he's set to do just the IMSA endurance races, that would still be a heavy schedule to keep up with and Le Mans right in the middle of it all. Mikey not the easiest guy to get along with as Ericson will find out. BHW
I'm fairly lost as to how rahal is 12th.... and was a pit stop down.... and rossi just dodges a HUGE crash. sjd
Portland is such a great track it makes strategy races good congrats to Palou, hopefully he’s this successful in court in the offseason
I'm trying to find out if the series increased it's popularity or not. Anyone with links to TV ratings and track attendance? Sponsorship numbers for teams? It seems to me that after the Indy 500 things seem a bit stale.
Seen from here in Europe I feel Indycar coverage has increased. The huge crowds in Sweden last year for Marcus after his Indy 500 win confirm that. Here in France we might have no drivers next year with Pagenaud announced as out of contract today and bonehead Romain looking for a seat so audiences might drop a bit. However those fed up with F1, an ever growing number, love the simple competitivity and unpredictability of Indycar and the no nonsense pure racing so that helps viewing numbers. I wish Indycar had an autumn Euro cup with say four races, Paul Ricard, Mugello, Barcelona, Portimao...
IndyCar overall is a bit ahead of last year F1 is down, unsurprisingly (unless you really like ugly Dutch drivers) given the huge amount of talent in Indycar from Europe and/or F1 feeder systems, it's no surprise they'd be doing better in Europe Marc-who carries IndyCar in Europe (or is it country specific)? Euro Sport, Sky, etc given how early the IndyCar season ends, and how F1 has basically abandoned Europe by the end of September, a 3-4 race winter league would be fun. I'd rather do that than all these stupid Australia/Japan/Argentina/Brazil race ideas that keep getting floated. Tweet— Twitter API (@user) date
Thanks. It surprised me a bit especially when so much coverage has been moved to streaming via Peacock. But I know both you and I subscribe because it's really not that expensive.
the problem with streaming is racing has very old demographics (relative to other sports), so all the boomers complain about spending $5 to watch on the internet. irony is they complain about it on....the internet. IMO $5 for Peacock is ridiculous value (I think they're raising it soon, to like $8)
Well, it used to part of the deal if you are a Comcast/Xfinity customer. But they just added $3.99 a month if you want Peacock Premium.
