My wife and I went to Fort Lauderdale a few weeks ago to test drive the Grenadier. They had everything on the lot, and we got to drive a fully loaded version of the truck.

On paper, this car seemed like a great idea. In person, though? Not so much. I was really disappointed. Who on earth decided on that steering ratio? The turning radius feels like it’s a mile wide—it’s almost comical.

To be fair, the car is built well and looks cool. But honestly, it feels like a modern dinosaur. Humankind has moved past the Grenadier, and I couldn’t bring myself to do it.

Funny moment while leaving the dealership: a woman test-driving one ran over the median on her way back into the parking lot!

At the end of the day, I’ll stick with my Range Rovers and their comfortable seats.

Although British, the INEOS Grenadier is manufactured in France :)
Their web site tells they took over a Mercedes-Benz factory; it's true but this factory was the former production location for the "Smart" cars (production of those has been moved to China, as they have become all electric and are now manufactured by Geely).
