I´m not familiar with the alfa, but weh I look at the pedals the gas pedal seem to be in the middle? right brake and left clutch?
the front and rear axle system looks interesting

Yes, that was the set up for Alfa pedals at the time.
Same for the 8C 2900 ('Immortal 2.9's), 8C 2300's, and the 6C 1500's & 6C 1750's that preceded them.
