What is the best lap time at Infineon by a 360, Challenge Stradale, or 430? My best time so far is 1:59. I would like to know what is achieveable to give me a goal to shoot for.

The front guys in the 430 Challenge this year were running 1.46s. You need to make sure you are running the same config as the Challenge drivers which is the grand-am config if you want to compare times. Straight for 7a, then 9a also rather than the full esses. The classic challenge guys did run 9 rather than 9a.

Full times are on ferrarichallenge.com for this year.

Thanks. Any idea what a street 430 or 360 can do? Considering the 13 second spread between my time and the Challenge time, a good driver should do low 1:50s in a street car, right?

That's probably not a million miles off - http://www.trackpedia.com/wiki/Infineon_Raceway has a bunch of representative times also. A word of warning - the pursuit of lap times is a) addictive, b) what led me to upgrade from a street car to a full race car with roll cage etc because I was carrying a lot of speed. The upgrade to a race car led me to actually go racing. This may lead to damage to your wallet of a substantial nature :) (albeit in return for a great deal of fun)

The advanced russell school at Infineon is also good - you can run mid 40s relatively easily in their new formula cars. Although you won't believe how fast you can go round turn 10.

The trackpedia.com lap times are mostly by race cars so they are not really comparable. There is an invitation on the web page to add to the info but there is no link, so the info has not been updated for a long time. I've already done a general web search but found nothing.

You bring up a great point about addiction. I see lots of guys at track days with race cars in big trailers. Maybe that will be me one day!
