$39K seems high for a red auto car - to get close to that price it better be perfect with extensive recent service.

This isn't the top tier Ferrari reseller in San Diego. Not to say this car is somehow bad, because I don't know it and it could very well be fine, but if I were shopping for a Ferrari this wouldn't be my first stop.

With regard to the car, if you're interested, call and find out where it was last serviced (get a fax/copy of the invoice) -- there are only a few places in San Diego that do most of these cars, so you might learn something that way, or find someone who knows it. You could also PM FChat'er 'rimoore', who works with Sports Car Company here and is pretty well informed with regard to what's available. There's an off chance he knows about this one.

If this car is a prospect after you've looked at it, I can recommend a couple of outstanding places locally where you could get a PPI (pre-purchase inspection). No shortage of Ferrari expertise in San Diego.

    Good luck.

I am not all that familiar with these cars. However, the rims do not look like they should. I don't like when they say unmolested and then you see things like this. Whats your take on the wheels?

Aftermarket. But wheels are easy to change. I'd be more concerned with the mechanicals and body.
