    Hi Guys,

I'm new to this forum but am looking for both a mint 356 GT and, more importantly good information prior to purchase.

Can owners/ex-owners give me an understading of this car from an ownership prospective? A good car? A fair car? An unreliable car?

    Things to consider?

    Things to look out for?

    Concerns?

Basically the idiots guide to this model.

    Thanks in advance

    Simon

I assume you meant 365 GT 2+2 not 356 GT 2+2 and not 365 GT4 2+2. If yes, you should ask the question in the Vintage Section. Anyway, welcome and there are buyer's guides for many models available for download on www.***********.com. Just click on Library then click on Buyer's Guides at the right hand end of the red band near the top of the web page and scroll down to choose the guide that interests you. Good Luck.

Yes, my friend, you're in the wrong place - easy mistake you posted in the 365 GT4 2+2/400/412 section, but you need to post in the "Vintage (thru 365 GTC4)" section which includes the 365GT 2+2, (no "4"). You'll get plenty of info.

Buy one totally restored or you'll go crazy trying to find unobtainable parts (as I have been doing since 1985 when I bought the car in Modena). The motor has been very dependable, but the electrics are substandard.
