So....just had my '10 in for it's second annual service. It's been great and almost no problems, so just a regular service. They had it overnight and i got a call the next day....they started it up and it was a bit rough still. They wanted to do a Fuel Injection Service. Apparently there is new injection system in the Cali's (Audi's too) that tends to form a buildup on the back of the valves. Hmmmm. So, I did it and it makes a pretty good difference. They're giving me an additive also that I'm supposed to put in 6 months from now that may help as well.
I asked if driving characteristics cause this. Answer was no. Apparently some high mile Audi's are showing this up as well.
    FYI.

ps. Also, I noticed some 'bumping' on my window trim. I'll post pix later. This is going to get fixed as soon as the parts get in.

Yes, the direct injection system sprays fuel directly into the cylinders so the fuel doesn't wash over the valves any more and clean them in the process.

It's a big problem on direct injection Mercedes as well

Especially the 4.7 and 5.5 turbos

Recently noticed a rough idle. Spark plugs were changed due to soot build up
