Seems to be missing the right side lateral engine cover. Overall looks pretty good. Find out exactly when the last major was performed and don't pay the asking price. My opinion - I would offer 85k and deal from there..The car is not worth there price of 95k..but of course dealers ask alot more for there cars than private sellers..

Looks pretty darn clean all the way around. Is this an updated valve guide car?

The car belongs to a known person in the Houston FCA club. The car is in fantastic mint condition and looks virtually brand new. I think the owner is trading it in on a 360 Spider.

Appreciate all the insight. If it is a Ferrarichat person, how do I track them down? Anyone know what their userID is so I can PM them?

As an FYI, I just did a PPI on a car for sale by an Authorized Ferrari Dealership and.. the car basically failed with impending clutch/F1 issues. I would have thought (perhaps being naive at first...) that if a car is for sale from an authorized Ferrari dealership that it would almost certainly pass a PPI. Oh well, lesson learned! I will get someone in Houston to do a PPI if I go after this one.

    Thanks.

That is odd---Most dealers will not put the car on their lot w/o some kind of PPI or inspection. FOW charges $500 to perform an inspection to satisfy them the car is in good order before they put there name on it as the seller. That is consignment cars. Nobody can come back and say the DEALER sold them a pile of junk...Helps protect everyone during the sale..

How can it have F1 issues - it is a 6 speed manual?

i know this car. ferrari of houston is selling the car after the owner traded it for a 360 spider.

there was a long hard look for the owner to find a really great car as his first ferrari. he had it for several months and decided he wanted something more powerful and traded it.

ferrari of houston is a great organization and is very picky about the cars they represent.

Clarification regarding the earlier question about the F1 vehicle...

I did a PPI on a '98 with an F1 from a different authorized Ferrari dealership. And it had some serious impending issues so I walked away.

The one I am now considering is at FofHouston and from the details on this board (thanks everyone!!!) it looks like it passes the "sniff test." Still, I will look to get a PPI done over the next few days.

    Thanks.

Sorry misread your message. This car is in great condition. But a PPI should be definitely done as a matter of due course. :)

PPI aside that is one beautiful 355. Almost like the blue better than the red especially with the top down.
