Well, here's my first attempt at this project. The first pic is the stock 348 non convex mirror. When you look at the car in the mirror's reflection, the bumper of that car in the mirror is 37' away. The bottom picture is the convex glass I had cut from a '94 Mitsubishi Galant. The glass cutter did a pretty good job all in all. There's some chipping on the back of the glass that pulled off a bit of the reflective material on the edges. I'll probably just add a small piece of trim all the way around the mirror to dress it nicely. But WOW. I can actually tell what's going on out of that side of the car now! Project cost me $10 for the glass, $58 to have it cut and the edges sanded, and $5.00 for the 20lb double sided Scotch tape. I left the original mirror. I like mods that are in some way shape or form "reversible". I also just added a small bit of black vinyl pin-striping material around the whole edge of the new mirror to cover the small edge chips. Looks really clean now. =] - Pixel -

Send a tracing of your mirror to the address listed on the Internet glass network. They will send it back along with a convex replacement for less than 50.00. Double sided foam tape and your done.
