Are the 355 and 348 door basically the same?

Yes and no - the mount points for the grill guards don't have anything to mount onto on a 348 door (door handles are different for one thing). I wound up inserting the top of the guard under the rubber sleeve at the top of the door strakes. The lower mount point I used 3M double-back sticky tape to secure it under the door (drilling or pop riveting it into the underside of the door is not recommended as it would be easy to come through the top surface of the door strake).

I'm still not happy with how mine turned out; they fit snugly but I am getting some binding with the rubber insert on the sill plate when the door is closed. To get these to fit well on a 348 may take some trimming of the lower mount point.

Edit: Easier to understand with some pics:

Sy, if you don't want them, due to fitting issues, I'll take em off your hands ;)
