Installing new water union in 308, tips?

    Hey Guys,

    After purchasing a new tap, tap magic fluid and the proper nipple (ferrari part), I'll be attempting to R&R the new heater hose fitting into the left side of the o'l 79 308GTB engine block.

    I was just wondering if any of you folks have done this job before and could offer my any easy tips?

    The old fitting was so badly corroded, that I needed to replace it.

    Just take your time and be very careful to protect the threads in the head at all costs. If you carefully drill, or use a dremel grinding tool, you can cut it down until its almost to the threads, or just touching (BUT NO MORE), and it should be able to be carefully picked out. Just be patient.
