    Everytime I try to log onto my AIM account it is automatically changing my PW, which means I can only get a new PW every 24 hours. This is extremely annoying. So I deleted my program and downloaded the latest version, ran all my virus sweeps, etc...

    Well it happened again today. WTF? Am I just not supposed to use AIM any more?

    Has this happened to anyone? If so, is there a patch for it?

    So frustrated!!!

    can't speak to your virus question, but you might want to give Trillian a try (if you're a Windows user): http://www.trillian.cc/

    perhaps it'll give you some better diagnostic info. and if it is a virus affecting the AIM software, it shouldn't affect Trillian (in theory).

    Trillian is a universal IM client - i'm a huge fan - been using it forever.

    Can you explain a little more about Trillian..what is it-how does it relate to AIM, etc? Looks interesting, thanks.

    You probally clicked a link in someones profile. I forget what kind of virus it is. Just search the internet for AIM viruses and try to find a fix.
