Any DIYers out there that removed the instrument cluster surround? This is the part that is above the tach and continues around the displays of the instrument cluster. Mine getting sticky and I have to get it refinished. Any diagrams would help on how to remove.

dig around a little, there are several helpful threads on here. I have disassembled the whole dash, with a lot of help from those that went before me and documented it.

What Stevdug said. If I recall correctly there are 2 screws and then some push pins that hold it in place.

Businesses like StickyRX etc are going to make a lot of money off of us 458/F12 etc owners who are holding onto these models for dear life given the current and future Ferrari lineup... I'll take the sticky issue over the Haptic Touch/screen-based interiors and hybrid/turbo powertrains of the future for sure :D

Someone sent me this. It shows how to remove the surround. I need to go deeper into this because not only is that getting sticky, also the surround that is behind this is also very sticky. It the surround that literally holds in the two displays. I think the whole display cluster has to be removed.

Mine got sticky so I had it removed after purchasing a beautiful carbon fiber benacal replacement from My Ricambi. Great service on the part, perfect carbon weave match with my Factory Ferrari carbon fiber interior. My Ricambi--Great products,Nice helpful personnel, quick shipping.

PS I had European Exotic Center in Tampa install. Great job.
