I found the #2723 bulbs at "Advance Auto Parts"- not all of their stores carried it though but they all could order them for you. It was the only store where I could find them locally.(Denver)
I'm about to do the same upgrade on my 308qv. I can't wait to see the improvement.

Just did the bulb upgrade today, and all instruments, turn signal indicators, etc. are all noticably brighter. Not great, but better. I may bypass the dimmer to see if that helps too. Oddly the tach is still more dim on the right side, I had figured it was a burned out bulb, but must be something else.

So you can shop in advance of opening up the dash, you'll want to get 10 #3893 bulbs and 5 #2723 to swap all the lamps (which took me to 3 auto parts shops to find). This is the case anyway with my '79 308.

I can't find car parts or hardware shops with the hex screws for the steering wheel. Had to destroy a few of mine to get them out, and settled for similar screws with a phillips head until I can get hexes.
