WELL, the gauge shows oil temp way too high...is the coolant high also? can't see that in your pic. If it is high also don't drive it, if only the oil temp, check oil level and don't drive it....better to see if it just the gauge or not before damaging anything. Oil pressure looks ok at idle.

Is your low oil pressure light ON? It should not be on, even at idle.

You need to post more pictures of the status of the gauges in order for us to get a better understanding of your problem.

If I'm not mistaken Ferrari use the same sending unit for both the water and oil so both have been known to go bad and send false readings. However as others have said if the water temperature is also high then you either have both sending units going bad at the same time (highly improbable) or you have a problem.

First... take a deep breath. It probably.. probably.. will not be that bad on the wallet.

Second. It's probably just a bad sensor. Although, I wouldn't drive it assuming its a just a bad sensor. Can you do work on it yourself? You can check the oil pressure sender behind the oil filter. The oil temperature sender is on the drivers side of the car below the oil filler. Does it do this immediately when you start it?

If you don't know where the oil filter is (just being facetious).. just bring it in. It probably something simple.

Can you explain how you were using the car before the picture?

since the oil pressure is normal and more importantly the water temperature is normal, I am going to vote for a bad sending unit, should be cheap and easy to replace (UNLESS its some where deep in the car that requires removal of a lot of stuff).

Based on your gauges, and nothing else, I'm going to agree with Mike that it's "probably" a bad sending unit. I would say that it definitely is a bad sending unit (or bad gauge), but unless it is tested I can't be sure so I don't want to give you bad advice.

If I'm not mistaken it's item 83 -- listed as an oil thermistor and it looks to be easy to get at it although it seems as if it's on the transmission -- someone else chime in.

Alan is correct above. #83. At like $20 from ricambi, I'd buy one and unplug it without unscrewing the old one from the engine. Then, I would take the plug and connect it to the new one, with the old one still screwed into the engine. Turn on the car. If the oil temp needle remains on "0", you've found the solution. If it jumps back up.. its possibly the gauge or the wiring harness (in which case keep the part, its good to have anyway). Either way you've got a $20 diagnosis.

To get at it looks like its on the drivers side of the car, if you reach down in front of the air box and under the shield by where the rear axle meets the transmission, it should be there.

I forgot to mention that i have mismatching ecu's so that can be why it is reading it wrong?

Likely the sender, it lives in the transmission just back from the starter. Also check the wiring, the black cable for the sender passes through the starter support bracket and can go to ground, which will also cause that reading. You need to drop the under tray for access.
