My rear bonnet switch hasn't been functioning for over a year, and I just got around to buying a new switch. Unfortunately the switch was a "call" on ricambi website so figured I would just order from Eurospares. They informed me part is NLA. In messing around with switches to make sure I knew the problem, I found that the gas lid switch is the same as the rear bonnet switch other than label as my trunk opened when I switched the gas lid switch with the trunk switch. Also the switches are easily taken apart with a thin flat head screwdriver. I was planning to buy a gas lid switch and trade out the outer housing label with my old since they were interchangeable. Easy and takes 5 minutes. However, I took the entire switch apart, which again is very easy with a flat head screwdriver, and i scraped the contacts inside the switch to see if it would make a difference. Put back together and gave it a shot. Works perfectly, opened trunk 10 times in a row. I would suggest taking the switches apart and checking the contacts prior to buying a new part if one seems to fail. Be careful, there is a small spring in the housing that can fly out when disassembling. Hope this helps...
