    Hey guy,

I'm up for my Mulit-engine instrument ride tomorrow morning. I passed the Oral portion of it today, I was super excited to pass that since i don't particularly like the Oral portion of check rides.

    I just need to shoot 3 IAP's
    1 normal
    1 Partial panel
    1 single engine
    1 GPS
    1 VOR
    1 ILS/DME

    Wish me luck!

Well just went in to pick up my temporary cert today. I am now a Single and multi engine land instrument pilot; now on to commercial multi.

Congrats. I'm not far from my IFR checkride and I am nervous about the oral portion of it too. Well, for that matter, I'm nervous about the checkride too. I've had two practice checkrides: one went beautifully and one didn't go so well.

    Practice, practice, practice.

the oral wasn't that bad over all. I got asked about my en route WX and chart symbols. Then i had to explain the pitot and static systems in the PA-44 and then i had go explain how GOS works. I spend about 10min explaining the GPS before my check examiner just said thats good just what are the CDI values for full scale deflection, to which i replied "O, 5,1,.3". then we mover on the the HSI and that was about it. It was under a part142 check, but its not much different from a part 141, its all the the PTS.

I think the flight is the best part i knew exactly what they were going to have me do so it wasn't that bad.
