Ah. Saw it. Don't know how I missed it first time. Thanks. Your premium for 488 is lower than what I paid geico for my Volvo suv! Do you have a really high deductible?
What is your agreed value? I agree $7,000 is high but I can’t understand how they could provide full coverage [comp and colision] INCLUDING agreed value on a $300,000++ car for $1,000. I’ll call your broker but something doesn’t seem right.....
From what my broker tells me, the insurance companies will use full value/cost as basis for premium if the car has not received an ISO rating. 488 has yet to receive this rating, hence the extremely high premium. This info re ISO rating is as of last week.
Same here...I’m with Travelers and they are competitive on EVERYTHING else I insure with them.....2 Homes, 5 cars, umbrella as well as business coverages. I was shocked as well. I really believe what my broker is telling me re the IasOnratings. Please let us all know if you find something helpful and I will do the same.
I kept the deductable on 3 cars at $500 but raised the deductable on the 488GTB to $1000 and the 6 month premium went from $4020 to $3640. This is still high but acceptable to me.
Agreed value is $315K. I have homeowners, valuable items, autos, and umbrella with the insurance company (Chubb). I checked the cost and it is $1,450.
Glad I saw this thread. I'm with Farmers - 5 cars including a 360 which alone is about $300 a month. Other cars are 93 Corrado, 98 M3, 08 Range Rover sport and 08 Jeep Liberty. Looking to add a 458 and they want another $500 a month for that ($1000 deductible on all cars). I'm 50, no accidents, 2 tickets in last 18 months, two homes with them, insured for 20+ years with them, live in Santa Monica. Seems too high! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
