as i will be bringing in my 512tr as part of my household effects, i will be needing to get swiss insurance for it. so far i have had a look around and found insurance costs to be far higher than even in central london.
do any of you have any tips on who gives ferraris a break in switzerland?

    Hi Ross
I've never insured a Fcar in the UK but again, I'd be surprised if CH was more expensive....britain is rip of central. Are they taking into account any no claims bonus?

To answer your question most of the insurance companies are pretty much the same. But you can have one part of your insurance from one firm and the other from a second firm. For instance, I had the third party fire theft part from Zurich Versicherung but they wanted 1000Chf for the fully comp part. So I got that for 500Chf from Winterthur Versicherung.

If you want I can ask my agent here for some advice for you...just let me know. PM me your email.

If I remember correctly you're Swiss or have lived in Ch so you probabyl know about the wechselschild here. You can put 2 cars on one plate which makes tax and insurance cheaper (you have a 512 and a 456?).

My 328 and my Healey I insure fully comp together on the same plate for less than 1000 pounds as they are both'weekend' cars rather than daily drivers I only need one at a time. My Range Rover is on another plate with my Lancia Fulvia. Effectively you pay the insurance and tax for the most expensive of the two cars with a few admin franks on top.

    Hope this helps
    Cheers
    Simon
